Thanksgiving Preschool Craft: Rockin’ Turkey

A simple Thanksgiving preschool craft but yet super cute!

To make the Rockin’ Turkey you will need:

Paper Plate
Tissue Squares (red, orange, yellow and purple)
Brown Construction Paper
Wiggly Eyes

Missy Mu- Mu cut the tissue paper squares from long strips I had previously prepared.

We then practiced our folding skills by folding the paper plate in half . Unfolded it and glued our tissue paper squares on to it (pictured below is Sopapilla, 24mths). You could encourage your child to scrunch the paper, if they need more practice with this fine motor skill.

The girls then let me trace their hands. Missy Mu-Mu cut them out, this turned out to be quite a challenge.

We then added the wings (hands) to the side of the now folded paper plate. The turkey was completed with a circle for the head, wiggly eye, triangle beak and a scrap of red tissue paper for the waddle.
