Christmas Preschool Craft: Christmas Tree Suncatcher

Here is yet another simple yet cute Christmas Tree Craft for you!

Begin by peeling back the paper at the base. Have child place red and brown rectangles, to create the base and trunk. Peel the paper back, leaving the star covered. Sprinkle a small amount of sequins for the baubles.

Place the green tissue paper over the top. Encourage the children to overlap the circles, and the edges (you will trim the excess off after).

Once the tree is covered entirely, take off the remaining backing to reveal the star. Place the silver foil square directly on top. Cut around the outline to remove any excess tissue paper.

Add child’s name and year created. Hang in the windows to catch the light!

You could extend this activity by creating other seasonal images, such as stockings, Santa Clause, bells and Angels.

Thanks for stopping by!

What a cute tutorial. Thanks for sharing. I think I just might have some contact paper in the cupboard. I know that I have tissue paper and little bittys that could be ornaments. Love it.
